Hi Jayme, not sure about in Canada but here in Australia (re breast cancer) you are considered cured if your alive 5 years after treatment. Of course you could present with secondary cancers in year 6 or 7 and die but you still go down in their statistics as a success. Secondary cancers are usually of the bone, liver or brain which is not breast cancer which is why the statistics here are so misleading, technically you died of another type of cancer!
